Missing frame analysis

Fix “Frame not analyzed for stabilization” in Premiere Pro

Warp Stabilizer needs analysis data for the frames used in your edit. If Premiere displays a missing-frame warning, analyze the affected clip again or use the extension to process several clips.

Which messages does this guide cover?

  • Frame not analyzed for stabilization; click Analyze.
  • New frames need analyzing; click Analyze.
  • Frame not analyzed; click Analyze.
  • Click Analyze to begin.

These messages can appear after extending a stabilized clip or adding a transition that uses frames outside the analyzed range. They indicate that Warp Stabilizer needs analysis for the current edit.

Save the project and finish adjusting the clip’s in and out points before starting another analysis. Further changes to the range may require analysis again.

Analyze one clip in Effect Controls

  1. Select the affected video clip in Premiere’s timeline.
  2. Open Effect Controls and locate Warp Stabilizer.
  3. Click Analyze and wait for analysis and stabilization to finish.
  4. Play the clip, including its beginning, end and transitions, to check the result.

If Warp Stabilizer cannot analyze the clip directly in Premiere, read the error before starting a larger queue. Queue automation does not resolve every native effect error.

Analyze multiple clips with the extension

For several affected clips, use the Batch Video Stabilizer extension instead of starting each analysis individually.

  1. Open the extension and enable Re-analyze already analyzed clips.
  2. Turn off Add Warp Stabilizer if not present when you only want to reanalyze clips that already have the effect.
  3. Select the affected clips in the active timeline and click Add selected clips.
  4. Start with Max parallel analyses set to 1, then click Start Queue.
  5. Check each clip’s result and review playback after the queue finishes.

To analyze all clips that already contain Warp Stabilizer, select the relevant video clips in the sequence and queue them with the same settings. To also stabilize clips without the effect, leave the add-effect option enabled.

The user guide explains the current UXP controls. For an older Premiere version, use the legacy Batch Analysis for Warp Stabilizer guide.

Check whether a different error needs attention

A missing-frame message differs from a warning about damaged saved data or a project created in another Premiere version. For those messages, see Warp Stabilizer requires re-analysis.

If Premiere asks for matching clip and sequence dimensions or pixel aspect ratios, check the sequence setup and nesting. That is a separate issue; see the clip-dimensions troubleshooting article.
