Apply custom settings
- Open Advanced Settings and enable Use custom settings.
- Check Apply for each parameter you want to change, then enter its value.
- For effects already on your clips, enable Override settings on existing Warp effects. Enable reanalysis if those clips need to be analyzed again.
- Run a short test queue and inspect the values in Premiere’s Effect Controls.
Checked values apply to newly added effects. Existing effects receive them only when the override option is enabled. Leave a row unchecked to exclude it from your custom overrides.
For example, check Smoothness and enter 20 to apply that value across the batch. Boolean fields accept true or false. Some choice fields use numeric values; inspect the named options in Premiere instead of guessing their numeric mapping.
Motion and stabilization
| Control | What it changes |
|---|---|
| Result | Smooth Motion reduces shake while keeping intentional camera movement. No Motion attempts to hold the shot still. |
| Smoothness | Controls how strongly movement is smoothed with Smooth Motion. Higher values may need more cropping. |
| Method | Position; Position, Scale, Rotation; Perspective; and Subspace Warp use increasingly complex transforms. Try a simpler method when stabilization introduces distortion. |
| Preserve Scale | Prevents changes to the scale of the clip. |
Choose a test clip with camera movement typical of the batch. A walking shot and a slow pan may need different settings even when they come from the same camera.
Framing and scale
| Control | What it changes |
|---|---|
| Framing | Stabilize Only leaves moving borders visible. Stabilize, Crop removes them; Stabilize, Crop, Auto-scale also enlarges the picture. Stabilize, Synthesize Edges attempts to fill missing borders. |
| Maximum Scale | Limits automatic enlargement when auto-scaling is used. |
| Action-safe Margin | Defines an edge border that auto-scaling does not need to fill. |
| Additional Scale | Applies extra enlargement after stabilization. |
| Crop Less ↔ Smooth More | Balances retaining more of the frame against stronger smoothing. |
Choose Stabilize Only to see the motion correction before cropping. If auto-scaling removes too much of the frame, lower Smoothness and review the whole shot. Read reducing Warp Stabilizer cropping for a focused review workflow.
Analysis and rolling shutter
| Control | What it changes |
|---|---|
| Detailed Analysis | Uses a more thorough analysis and can take longer. A checked custom value takes precedence over the queue’s general Detailed analysis option when overrides apply. |
| Fast Analysis | Speeds the analysis stage without changing the stabilization stage. |
| Rolling Shutter Ripple | Reduces rolling-shutter ripples with Perspective or Subspace Warp. Check the result in motion. |
To explicitly disable Detailed Analysis on existing effects, check its Apply row, enter false and enable the override for existing Warp effects. Simply turning off the general queue option does not necessarily reset the effect’s existing value.
Edge synthesis and warnings
| Control | What it changes |
|---|---|
| Synthesis Input Range (seconds) | Sets how far into adjacent frames Premiere looks when filling missing edge areas. |
| Synthesis Edge Feather | Blends the synthesized edges into the source picture. |
| Synthesis Edge Cropping | Uses source-edge cropping for synthesis. The Left, Top, Right and Bottom values control the corresponding edges. |
| Hide Warning Banner | Hides the warning overlay. It does not repair missing analysis or an unsuitable stabilization result. |
Synthesis settings apply to Stabilize, Synthesize Edges framing. Their availability and dependencies follow the Warp Stabilizer version in Premiere.
Refresh schema and validate values
The custom table uses a parameter list for Warp Stabilizer. If the panel reports a mismatch after a Premiere update, choose Refresh schema and follow any message shown by the extension. Then check your selected rows and test a clip.
Enter numbers in numeric fields and true or false in boolean fields. Resolve validation messages before starting. Named choices and parameter availability can differ between Premiere versions, so confirm the resulting values in Effect Controls.
